All prices in the chart use Plastisol inks. These inks give the
brightest colors and last the longest. Water based inks are more expensive,
have a softer ‘feel’ and tend to fade a little with time. |
*Please add $2.00 per piece for XXL shirts, $4.00 per piece for
XXXL shirts. |
*Please add $2.00 extra for long sleeve tees.
*Add $1.00 per piece if using water based inks. |

Prices above are for printing only. The cost of the tee is not included in the price. We prefer our suppliers to provide all tees to be printed. You may select the tees you want to order from our catalogs. Tees that are purchased through suppliers that are not licensed, are often ‘faulty’, or ‘seconds’, without the buyer being aware until they take them home after being printed. By ordering through our suppliers we are guaranteed high quality merchandise. Multi-color silkscreening is a precise process done to imperfect materials. Depending on a number of factors; spoilage during printing in the silkscreening process can be as high as 20%. If you must provide your own tees there is no discount, and you will need to provide 2 extra tees for every 10 tees you require to account for spoilage in the printing process. A deposit of 50% of the estimated total charge is payable when the order is placed. |

Common Silkscreen Printing Questions |
|
| Can I print on various sizes?
T-shirts for youth medium to adult 6XL can be printed together at an 8.5” x 11" design size. Larger designs require larger artwork, film positives and screens. Youth small, infant and toddler sizes will need to be silkscreen printed with a smaller sized print. We can print both youth and adult t-shirts together if the design size is made to fit the smallest shirt being silkscreen-printed. Some customers prefer to have two sizes of artwork made, one for adult and one for youth. When printing a small order, one size of art is the most economical choice. Can I print on various shirt colors?
As long as the same ink color can be used on all tee shirts, there is no problem. Your design on paper will be placed on all the different color tees you want to print on… just be sure the design works for you on all of your color choices. For example a black print on a white tee will not show up on a navy blue tee very well. The black ink is too close in color to the Navy blue. Can I print on a variety of products? Tee shirts and sweatshirts can be combined into one silkscreen-printing order. The fabric needs to be 100 percent cotton for best results, or 50/50 cotton/poly. 100% cotton is preferred. Synthetics often require different inks and heat-setting methods that result in higher costs. Art Information:

Line Art
Line Art is artwork where the design is made up of solid black lines thin or thick. In silkscreen-printing, we need solid opaque lines or dots on a film positive. We then expose the film positive onto the silkscreen with the emulsion on it, using a light table. Photographic Art (bitmap) Photographic Art (or Photo Realistic Design) is Art that incorporates scanned in imagery. In order to reproduce a photographic image, we require a file or scan with a resolution of 300 pixels per inch file at actual size, or the actual photo. This is a more detailed process than Line Art and requires more time to produce in the artwork phase. Photographic images using silk screens look best reproduced in one or two colors only. Can I silkscreen a color photo and have it look exactly the same? Screen-printing is not the best way to replicate a full color photograph in full color on a tee shirt. Digital printing or Heat Transfer Printing is best for this. There are special papers you can buy and print from your own printer at home, and heat-set with an iron. Why is there a screen charge? The information below explains the process of creating a design on a screen. This process is time consuming and a skill that is unique to the industry. The actual screen, screen mesh, emulsion, and labor, all cost money, and this is why we have a screen charge. A single tee shirt cannot be printed without this process completed. Can I wash my tee shirts the usual way? Yes, you can. Sometimes large designs printed in Plastisol inks can stick together if they are left in the dryer too long. Water based Inks or Oil based inks? Oil based inks (Plastisols) are the most common in silkscreen-printing. They give the brightest colors and last the longest. Water-based inks are softer to the ‘feel’ and can fade a little with time. Because of the preferred ‘feel’ and tendency of screens to ‘dry’ while printing, water-based inks are more expensive to print than oil based inks. |
