Design As Enterprise StudentsDESIGN AS ENTERPRISE (DASE) intern program offers youth the rare opportunity to work alongside professional artists to learn about surface design, custom silkscreen-printing, fashion merchandising, sales and marketing and earn school credits in the process. Over 250 interns have gained marketable design skills through this program, since its inception.  

SENECA VILLAGE WORKSHOP/OFF-SITE WORKSHOP is an exciting portable workshop that marries historical content with art-making concepts and teaches youth how to transform historical events into design concepts. Students take field trips to Central Park, research the history of African Americans in New York City, learn about repeats and patterning in traditional African textiles, and create original designs using stencils and sponges.  

HTW InteriorSCREEN PRINTING A-Z (SATURDAY CLASSES FOR ADULTS) is a three-part intensive workshop held on Saturdays from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM that teaches adults all aspects of silkscreen-printing using the photo emulsion process.Tuition is $300 for the session. A $100 deposit is required to enroll. The maximum number of students in adult workshops is 10. AFTER-SCHOOL WORKSHOPS (YOUTH PROGRAM) is a free (except for a $20 materials fee) after-school activity for youth ages 13-18 who learn the basics of creating designs suitable for transference onto fabrics, using Photoshop and silkscreen-printing techniques.
